Langdon, Jimmy Fortune & Wil performing on the big ol' boat!Yeah, we just got back from sailing the Caribbean! We cruised for 7 days, visited 3 islands, ate delicious eats to our tummies content, tanned ourselves on white sandy shores and open-air lido decks, and saw some very entertaining shows on the boat. Thanks so much to Lynette Miller with www.travelingtroubadour.com as she spearheaded the entire trip with professional and flawless arrangements. Joyce Rizer from XM Radio cruised along, as well, recording interviews and excerpts for her show on XM Channel 10 (America). And we had a blast performing two different shows with one of the best tenor singers to grace the stage and a one-of-a-kind talent and person, Jimmy Fortune. We met so many wonderful people and started some beautiful friendships among those in our group. Thanks to all of you for making this a wonderful experience and making memories for us that we'll carry for a long long time!

Ralph Emery LIVE

We recently visited with legendary Country Music host Ralph Emery on his new show, Ralph Emery LIVE.Wil, Langdon (stagehand whose name might be Bobby) Harold, Don and Ralph Emery preparing for the upcoming and exciting segment!

Our dads talked with Ralph about their new book, RANDOM MEMORIES, and we caught him up on all we have going on and played the video to our tribute song, "The Statler Brothers Song."

Bill Anderson invited Harold and Don Reid on his hit radio show on XM, "Bill Anderson Visits with the Legends." Don, Langdon, Bill Anderson, Random Memories Book, Wil and Harold all reading their first book together!

Mr. Anderson had nothing but high praise after hearing "The Statler Brothers Song" for the first time. As a songwriter, when you've impressed Bill Anderson, you brag that piece of info to all of your friends!

We also recently visited with Crook & Chase. Jimmy Fortune, Lorianne Crook, Harold Reid, Wil, Langdon, Don Reid & Charlie Chase on the RFD's Crook & Chase Show. They have a brand new spectacular show on the RFD channel and are doing their part in bringing back that traditional country music format to TV. We, along with our dads, sat on the couch and caught them up on all we've got going on. We sang "The Statler Brothers Song" and graciously received a standing ovation. And then we had to go to commercial right after Wil threatened to air his "dirty laundry" on live TV! You'll have to see the whole bit!

W & L posing up @ CMA Hall of FameWe just finished recording the last two songs for our upcoming CD. We're currently putting the finishing touches on a gospel song we wrote, "His Knees Hit The Ground," and "The Statler Brothers Song." The Statler song is one we wrote to tribute the many successes they have accomplished throughout their incredible career. We figured we'd go ahead and officially name it "The Statler Brothers Song" because that's what people are going to call it anyway! This will finish up our CD / DVD, and it should hopefully be released very soon.

A great big Congrats to the Statlers upon their inductionDarrin Vincent (of Dailey & Vincent) shows Wil how to play the upright air bass! into the Country Music Hall of Fame. We can tell you first-hand, how sincerely touched and honored they were upon receiving the highest honor Country Music has to offer. Their plaque will hang on the wall with all of their heroes and the very ones who inspired them to do all that they've done. Way to go guys and we're so proud of you!

Hall of Fame Performance!!

On October 29th, 2007, The Statler Brothers were inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN. The pure southern gospel harmonies of the Statlers that have touched millions in both the country and gospel music fields, were truly inspired from all of them growing up and listening to all the great Southern Gospel quartets of their day. Their close friend and manager, Marshall Grant, presented them with the induction. GRANDSTAFF was honored to be asked to perform a couple of songs to celebrate this landmark event in their career. GRANDSTAFF started out singing to a packed room with our upbeat version of “Life’s Railway To Heaven.” We then spoke about our deep-rooted inspiration from all four of our “fathers”, and sang a new song that we wrote in tribute to The Statler Brothers, commemorating all their successes and accomplishments throughout their professional and personal lives. The song is aptly titled “The Statler Brothers Song” and will be available with more new music in the very near future.

The Statlers were inducted along with Phil Keaggy, Joe Moscheo, Larnelle Harris and The Winans. Other performers included the SGN Group of theYear,The Booth Brothers and American Idol third place finalist, Melinda Doolittle. And our record producer, Doug Grau, was on hand to partake in some tasty fried artichokes.

The Statler Brother tribute song will be available soon on Grandstaff’s NEW CD and DVD projects of their Live music from XM Satellite Radio. Stayed tuned for release dates and more information!

New Music from G-Staff @ XM

Over the last couple of years, we have become great friends with the folks at XM Satellite Radio. They have been big supporters of our music and we’ve gone to their studios in Washington, D.C. and Nashville to talk, listen and play with them. This summer, at their request and invitation, we went in to their Performance Studio at their headquarters in D.C. and recorded a live DVD.  Some of the music were cover songs we grew up on, some were some new music we’ve written, some were funny and then a few made you pull your hanky out.  At the end of the day, we came away with some really cool new music and XM filled their library with some more Grandstaff music for you to listen to. XM tells us regularly that we are high on the requests on the country channels.  Thanks so much! Keep listening and requesting us.

Please check back often as news, pictures, music and updates are posted regularly!
